A lovely afternoon at the Barnes Fair has completed our early-Summer gigs. Before that – what a party weekend we had, in beautiful sunshine, and hilariously gusty wind, when the Band blew mightily at the Museum of Richmond’s sold-out Garden Party, located in the beautiful Trumpeters’ House garden. Then, we had such fun at the Barnes Children’s Literary Festival, back under our tree by Gail’s bakery. In June, we helped celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee at All Saints in Sheen, with a splendid audience, who sang along with patriotic joy! In March, we were delighted to perform at the Barnes Music Festival, with a rousing programme of symphonic wind music including a poignant Ukrainian folk lament to pay tribute to the people of that embattled land. We’ll be back in September, with Bandstand concerts at Regent’s Park, Central London, and Canbury Gardens in Kingston. All details on our concerts page. Please come and see us! The Band are committed to entertaining our audiences, with a mix of challenging symphonic wind band music and bandstand favourites.
