The Barnes Concert Band are performing in smaller groups at the opening of the 2019 Barnes Children’s Literacy Festival. We’ll be on the green by the duckpond from around 10 am on Saturday 11th May, playing jolly family-friendly music for a couple of hours. Come and say hello!
Note from our Band Secretary: a reminder that there are no rehearsals on April 16th or 23rd – we meet again on April 30th, when we’ll have the EGM [see Susie’s email for details]. And the rehearsal on May 7th is only for those taking part in the Barnes Children’s Literary Festival on Saturday May 11th.

Barnes Concert Band will be at this year’s event, which takes place on Saturday 27th April at the Old Sorting Office, Station Road on Barnes Green from 10.00 am till 2.00pm. It’s about not-for-profit organisations showcasing what they do to residents of Barnes and Mortlake and anyone who’s visiting! The Open Day is an opportunity to attract new supporters, volunteers and members. It’s also a great way to network with other societies and clubs in the area.
Fiona has created a leaflet, and Daryle and Andrea are welcoming all visitors to find out more about the Barnes Concert Band, whether they’re prospective players or audience members.
